URBACT IV – Transfer Networks

Project description

Ageing brings challenges such as isolation and declining health. Led by the Municipality of Vila Nova de Cerveira (PT), Olympics4All changes this reality through sport, social connection and competition. This project isn’t just about sport: it’s about redefining ageing and building healthier, happier and more connected communities. Onda takes part as a partner city to replicate the good practice and hold a Senior Olympics.

URBACT is a programme co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), within the Interreg framework, based on learning and exchanging experiences between municipalities on sustainable urban development. Through URBACT, different European municipalities join together in a consortium to jointly address a common problem. The URBACT Transfer Networks programme enables the transfer of a good URBACT practice, already implemented by the lead partner, to the other cities in the partnership.
